Transportation and Map Information


Atlanta is easily accessible to all parts of the world by all major forms of passenger transportation. Atlanta is served by Hartsfield International Airport which provides easy and affordable access via most domestic and several international airlines. Georgia Tech and Renaissance Atlanta Hotel, the conference site, are located just north of the city is downtown area, convenient to I-75, I-85, and I-20.  Visitors may take one 20-minute ride on the MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) train from the airport directly to Georgia Tech Campus. The train station at the airport is conveniently located near the luggage claim area. The MARTA fare is currently $1.50 with no charge for transfer between buses and trains. Of course, taxis and limousines are also available. A taxis from the airport costs approximately $15. Atlanta is also served by AMTRAK, Greyhound, and Trailways.
