Purpose

AIM'97 is a unique conference where researchers, engineers and business people who are interested in the field of mechatronics gather to discuss the initiation of mechatronics as an engineering technology and a new discipline in the coming 21st century. In addition, this conference is related to the new transactions entitled "IEEE/ASME Transaction on Mechatronics". A special issue consisting of selected papers from AIM 97 will be published.

Exhibitions Regular exhibits by selected companies along with a special demonstration of Networked Robotics by WIDE project.

Banquet A buffet dinner party will be held on Wednesday evening (June 18) from 19:00 at Rihga Royal Hotel Waseda. Spouses accompanied by pre-paid participants are also welcome free of charge at the buffet dinner.

Reception and Farewell Party Beer and sandwiches will be served on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (June 17, 19) at the conference site. All participants are welcome free of charge.
